Power Automate now shows values from earlier steps directly in the flow designer

Microsoft rolled out feature MC1324868 in the new cloud flow designer. Makers can now expand property values inline from multiple previous actions without switching panels. The change is currently in rollout and reaches general availability on 30 June 2026. It applies only to the new designer and only for cloud flows.
Before this update, builders had to click into each action one at a time to see what values actually arrived from earlier steps. Most people skipped the check once the flow passed a quick test and moved on. Now the values sit in the same view as the actions themselves. The barrier drops from deliberate effort to simple glance, which changes whether checking data becomes part of normal building or remains an occasional rescue step after failure.
Analysis
Stop treating the flow designer as a canvas for happy-path steps and start using the inline values as a required checkpoint before any flow leaves test. Open every new flow in the new designer, expand the outputs from each action that feeds a condition or SharePoint update, and confirm the actual data matches what the process needs.
