Power Automate adds alerts for desktop flow quality problems

Microsoft has made configurable desktop-flow checker notifications generally available from 16 July 2026, subject to geographic availability. Administrators can choose error, warning or informational findings and configure severity, thresholds, recurrence and scope across desktop flows in an environment.
Desktop flows can become business dependencies even when only one maker understands their selectors, exceptions and machine setup. Without a shared warning mechanism, quality problems may stay invisible until a run fails or someone raises a support ticket. Configurable alerts give teams an earlier signal, but turning on every rule could replace silent risk with notification noise. The useful change is the ability to start with the failures that matter most and widen coverage after learning how the rules behave.
Analysis
Confirm the feature is available in your environment, then pilot error-level alerts on one production desktop flow for a week. Review false positives and missed problems before adding warnings or expanding the scope.
