Microsoft begins rolling out Power Automate Desktop version 2606 in June

Power Automate Desktop version 2606 enters staged rollout. Preview starts early June for select regions. General availability reaches Canada, UAE, Switzerland, Germany, France, Brazil, India, Norway, Korea, Australia, Southeast Asia, UK, East Asia, West Europe, and North Europe by mid-June. The previous version, 2605, shipped on 13 May with build 2.68.237.26118. No feature list or new build number for 2606 has been published yet. This follows the established monthly cadence for the desktop component.
Before each release, teams that rely on desktop flows treat the current installed version as stable until something visibly breaks. Most organisations have no formal process to track which machine runs which build, so a silent regression only surfaces when a scheduled run fails or an approval never arrives. The June update changes nothing about that pattern. It adds another version number without documented fixes for the exact issues that cause flows to stop working after they pass initial testing: connector permission drift, timing differences on real data, and the lack of any built-in alert when a desktop flow fails overnight.
Analysis
Treat every new desktop release as a potential source of regression until proven otherwise. Install 2606 on one non-production machine, replay your three most critical flows with realistic data volumes, and only promote the build after you confirm run history stays clean and no new error patterns appear.
