Microsoft adds option to recover deleted records in Power Platform

Administrators can now turn on a setting to keep deleted records for 1 to 30 days. The option sits in the Power Platform Admin Center under Features and Data Management. The feature works in both sandbox and production environments. It removes the need to dig through audit logs or request a full environment restore. It is not available in trial or developer environments and only administrators can enable it.
Before this change, recovering a deleted record meant either hunting through audit logs that are hard to read or asking for a full environment restore that could take hours. Most teams simply accepted the loss or rebuilt the data by hand. Now the recovery path is faster for those who have the setting turned on, but it still leaves non-admin users waiting on someone else to act. Builders who create flows that touch SharePoint lists or Dataverse tables remain exposed if the admin never enables the feature or if the data lives outside those systems.
Analysis
Do not wait for an admin to flip a switch that may never get turned on. Add an export or backup step to any flow that creates or updates important records so you hold a copy before deletion can happen.
