SharePoint moves repeatable actions into list columns

A new Quick Steps column can place a chosen repeatable action directly beside items in a SharePoint list or document library. The specialist walkthrough shows it can expose actions that previously sat behind the item menu and can respect conditions set on the Quick Step.
Small, repeatable jobs often stall because the action is technically available but hard to spot in a long menu. Putting the relevant action next to the item can make a team process easier to follow without asking people to remember a separate link, instruction sheet, or workaround. That does not make every list a good candidate for a button. The action needs a clear owner, a useful condition, and a name that tells a colleague what will happen. Used carefully, it can remove one routine click-path from a handoff such as a policy review or a request follow-up.
Analysis
Pick one list or library where colleagues repeatedly open the item menu to do the same next step. Test a clearly named Quick Step on a copy or low-risk list, including the condition that should hide it when the action is not appropriate.
