Power Apps makers can catch mobile layout failures before rollout

Collab365 published a mobile-layout readiness checklist on 1 October 2026 for canvas app makers preparing a limited user review. It tells makers to record the target screen, task, phone size, supported orientation, display settings, scroll behaviour, accessibility cautions and defects before inviting users.

A canvas app can look finished in Power Apps Studio while required fields, buttons or scroll areas still fail on a real phone. A tidy canvas view alone does not show whether the user can complete the main task on the device and orientation you intend to support. The checklist turns that vague confidence into a bounded release decision: ready for limited review, release with cautions, needs repair or not tested enough. That helps non-developer makers catch basic layout failures before users discover them and keeps the first mobile trial small and honest.

Analysis

Pick the screen users need most, record its display settings, then complete the main task in the relevant phone preview. Fix clipped, overlapping or unreachable controls before inviting a small user group.
