Power Apps data grid makes dense lists easier to use

Microsoft has made the modern data grid generally available for canvas apps. It adds built-in search, sorting, row selection, resizing, accessible keyboard support and configurable columns, while Microsoft describes it as a successor path rather than a forced replacement for older table controls.
Many internal apps reach an awkward point when a simple gallery no longer makes a long operational list usable. Makers then end up rebuilding search, sort and selection behaviour themselves, often while trying to keep a screen usable on real devices. The data grid gives those list-heavy screens a more capable starting point, but it does not rescue a weak data model or permissions setup. It is most useful where a team genuinely needs people to scan, find and act on records rather than just browse a short list.
Analysis
Pick one canvas-app screen where users regularly search or sort a long list. Test the data grid there with real permissions and representative data before replacing the existing table or gallery.
