Partner Copilot volume discount ends 30 September

Reporting dated 23 September 2026 describes a Microsoft partner promotion on new annual Microsoft 365 Copilot seats running from 1 July to 30 September 2026. The reported ladder is 15 percent off from 300 seats and 30 percent off from 1,000 to 9,999 seats. Enterprise Copilot list price is still described as 30 US dollars per user per month, billed yearly, on top of a qualifying Microsoft 365 plan. Copilot Business is listed at 21 dollars, with an 18 dollar promotional rate. Microsoft’s 1 July 2026 commercial suite price update raised base Microsoft 365 prices but did not change standalone Copilot SKUs. The 21 dollar and 15 dollar figures some outlets apply to the 1,000 and 10,000 seat rungs are reporter maths on the 30 dollar list. Microsoft has not published those partner-sheet numbers publicly, and channel and region prices vary.
Until now, many workplaces treated Copilot cost as a fixed 30 dollar add-on and judged value from licence counts and scattered use. Suite prices already moved on 1 July. Copilot list did not, so the add-on looked stable while the rest of Microsoft 365 got more expensive. After 30 September, large new-seat deals that sat in the reported 30 percent partner band will price differently. That is a commercial deadline, not a product change. If Copilot still produces generic drafts that need heavy checking, cheaper seats do not fix task fit, review load, or trust.
Analysis
This is a trap to avoid unless procurement already has a qualifying new annual seat deal in flight. Ask your Microsoft partner or licensing owner, in writing, whether any 300-plus or 1,000-plus new-seat band still applies before 30 September, and if the answer is no, leave seat count alone and keep work on when Copilot is worth using.
