Outlook makes all-day conflicts easier to see before accepting invites

Microsoft created a July 17, 2026 roadmap item for Outlook on the web and Outlook for Windows. Outlook will make it easier to see when a meeting invite conflicts with scheduled Out of Office time or Busy All Day events in the Mail module calendar preview.
All-day calendar blocks are easy to miss when the invite decision happens inside email. That is how people accept meetings during leave, focus days, travel days, or all-day customer work and only notice the clash later. This is a small interface change, but it fits a real daily workflow problem: calendar decisions are often made while triaging mail, not while carefully reviewing the full calendar.
Analysis
When this appears, pause on invites that land during OOO or busy-all-day blocks. Use the mail calendar preview as a quick conflict check before accepting or suggesting another time.
