Outlook Copilot adds account selector for calendar users

Microsoft says Outlook for Windows now gives users with more than one Copilot-enabled account an account dropdown in the Copilot side pane for Outlook calendar. The selector shows which account Copilot is acting on and lets users switch accounts. Microsoft says the feature rolled out in May 2026.
People who work across a company account, client tenant, shared mailbox, or second work profile already lose time checking which calendar and identity they are using. Adding Copilot to that mix raises the cost of a small mistake because the assistant may summarise or act against the wrong work context. The account selector is a small control, but it supports a practical daily habit: check the account before asking Copilot to help with calendar work. That matters more than another prompt trick for users who already feel stretched across Outlook, Teams, meetings, and tasks.
Analysis
If you use more than one Copilot-enabled Outlook account, add a visible check to your meeting-prep routine: confirm the account dropdown before asking Copilot for agenda, recap, or follow-up help.
