Compliance work stayed on a separate track from collaboration cleanup. That split is harder to defend. The guide’s useful point is not new product news. It is a practical order of operations: measure what exists, fix hotspots, then expand access. Copilot readiness becomes a content and access hygiene score, not a switch. For small Microsoft 365 teams, that reframes the next quarter as inventory and owner-led remediation on a few risky sites and Teams, not a full governance rewrite.
