n8n keeps cloud prices flat and adds more AI builder credits

As of a July 20, 2026 re-check against n8n’s pricing page, cloud plan prices are unchanged: Starter at €24 a month for 2,500 executions, Pro at €60 for 10,000, and Business at €800 for 40,000. Annual billing cuts roughly 17 percent off those figures. What did change is the monthly AI Workflow Builder credit allowance bundled into each plan. The AI agent node still works with OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, Google Gemini, and local models. Self-hosted Community Edition remains free with unlimited executions and full control. Cloud remains EU-hosted in Frankfurt. Execution caps still apply on cloud. Complex agent runs can burn through monthly limits quickly, and the jump from Pro to Business is steep. Enterprise stays custom.
For tiny product businesses, automation cost used to split into two bad options: Zapier-style task billing that punished every step, or self-hosting n8n for zero license fee but owning uptime, updates, and breakage yourself. Cloud n8n sat in the middle on euros, yet AI builder usage could still surprise you once agent workflows left the demo stage. Flat prices with higher included AI builder credits tilt that middle option. You can draft and iterate agent-style flows with less fear of builder overages, while the real meter remains executions. That shifts the constraint from “can I afford to experiment in the builder” to “does this agentic path justify the executions it will consume every day,” especially when support replies, testimonial pings, or lead follow-up are the jobs you actually need done.
Analysis
Treat this as a cost-structure check, not a cue to automate everything. Before you add another AI agent node, pick one live workflow, count executions per successful run against your Starter or Pro cap, and only keep the path if it clearly removes a recurring founder bottleneck rather than adding another dashboard to watch.
