Microsoft makes Copilot business bundles permanent paid SKUs in July
Microsoft says Microsoft 365 Business Standard with Copilot and Microsoft 365 Business Premium with Copilot become permanent SKUs on 1 July 2026. The listed prices are 23.50 USD and 32 USD per user per month respectively. A separate Business Basic plus Microsoft 365 Copilot Business promotion runs at 21 USD per user per month until 31 December 2026. The change moves small-business Copilot packaging away from temporary promotions and into recurring licence planning.
Copilot adoption often stalls because the team treats it as an experiment rather than a normal tool cost. Permanent SKUs make the budget conversation more predictable, but they also make unused licences harder to ignore. For adoption leads, the question changes from “can we try this while the offer is live?” to “which roles will use it often enough to justify a monthly seat?”
Analysis
Before adding more Copilot seats, pick three repeatable workflows for each licence group and name the owner who will measure usage. If you cannot name the workflows, do not buy the seats yet.
