Microsoft has added a preview feature to Fabric pipelines that runs dbt jobs directly. dbt is a tool that transforms raw data into analysis-ready tables using SQL code. The new activity handles dbt's core steps: building models, running them, and testing results. Users can select specific data nodes, pass dynamic parameters, and set dependencies between jobs. Pipeline run history tracks status, with options for notifications on completion.
