Microsoft plans central hub to manage AI agents in 365

Microsoft has added Agent 365 to its 365 roadmap. The tool serves as a control plane where IT and security admins can manage AI agents across the suite from one place. It remains in development following Copilot and agents announcements last month. Rollout begins in May 2026 for eligible subscribers.
Before now, AI agents in Microsoft 365 ran without a unified dashboard. Admins had to monitor them through separate Copilot settings, endpoint tools, or ad hoc reports, creating blind spots as agent numbers grow.Agent 365 changes that by routing all oversight through a single interface. This scales security and deployment controls to match the rise in agent use, preventing the kind of sprawl that hits email and Teams inboxes today.
