Microsoft moves Copilot agent roadmaps to main planning site

From July 2 2026, updates for Copilot Studio, Sales Agent, Finance Agent and Service Agent will appear only on the Microsoft 365 Roadmap. The separate Release Planner tool will stop carrying new information for these products. The change puts agent and studio capabilities alongside core Microsoft 365 app roadmaps in one place. Older entries in Release Planner for these items will no longer be refreshed. Microsoft says the move creates a single destination for discovering capabilities across Microsoft 365, Copilot and related agents.
Before this change, agent roadmaps lived in a secondary tool that most small IT teams rarely checked. Copilot features felt like optional extras that could be reviewed when time allowed. Now the same information sits next to Exchange, Teams and SharePoint updates. Leadership scanning the official roadmap will see agent capabilities listed as standard Microsoft 365 items, which increases pressure to explain why they are not already in use or governed.
Analysis
Add the Microsoft 365 Roadmap to your standing Monday review and build a one-page filter that shows only agent and Copilot items relevant to your licensing and tenant size. This keeps you ahead of the questions that will arrive once leadership starts browsing the same page.
