Microsoft launches AI agent to govern SharePoint content risks
Microsoft has released the SharePoint Admin Agent, an AI tool that lets administrators query SharePoint and OneDrive for governance issues using natural language. It analyses content sprawl, site lifecycles, oversharing and permissions, then suggests fixes. The agent pulls data from SharePoint Advanced Management. Admins access it through Microsoft 365 Copilot, the SharePoint admin centre or a Teams app. It requires a Copilot licence, catalog management setup and SharePoint administrator permissions.
