Microsoft Copilot drafts emails inside Outlook compose window
Microsoft 365 Copilot now generates email drafts directly in the compose window of the new Outlook app. It produces an initial draft from your instructions, then asks questions about the email's goal, audience and tone to refine it. Changes update in place, skipping the need to copy and paste from another window. The feature reached users in March 2026. It applies only to the new Outlook app, not the classic version.
