Microsoft adds flow triggers to Code Apps preview

Code Apps can now call Power Automate flows directly from within the app. The coding agent plugin also dropped version numbers from generated files and moved to a preview NPM-based CLI. Offline support remains unavailable. Solution checker and security scanning are still on the roadmap. Vibe Coding access stays limited outside the US.
Until now Code Apps sat in isolation. Developers could build the front end but still had to leave the environment for any backend automation. That separation kept the tool niche and experimental. The new integration closes that gap for people who already code. It does nothing for the far larger group still wrestling with canvas apps, galleries, and basic Patch statements.
Analysis
Skip Code Apps completely. Stick with canvas apps and learn how to call existing Power Automate flows from buttons and timers instead of chasing a preview that still lacks offline and governance features.
