Microsoft adds admin usage report for Copilot agents

Microsoft has added a Microsoft 365 Copilot Agent usage report in the Microsoft 365 admin center. The report shows adoption and activity for agents built through Copilot Studio or Teams Toolkit, including active agents, active users in Copilot, and last activity date. Microsoft says activity data is available within 72 hours of the end of each day in UTC.
Before this, adoption leads could talk about Copilot usage in broad terms, but agent rollout was harder to inspect. A team could build and share agents without a simple view of which ones were actually being used, which made ROI conversations feel soft. Now agent adoption can be checked as its own layer. The limits matter: SharePoint agents, Microsoft-built agents, and partner-built agents are not included yet, and the report does not show which users used each specific agent. But it still gives admins a better starting point for deciding which agents need training, redesign, retirement, or stronger ownership.
Analysis
Open Reports > Usage > Microsoft 365 Copilot > Agents and export the active agent list. Pick one agent with low use and decide whether it needs a clearer use case, better launch support, or retirement.
