Google releases cheaper AI tool for generating short videos
Google has launched Veo 3.1 Lite, its most affordable AI video generation model. It costs less than half as much as Veo 3.1 Fast but runs at the same speed. Developers can use it in the paid tier of Gemini API and Google AI Studio. The model turns text or images into videos in landscape or portrait format, at 720p or 1080p resolution, for lengths of 4, 6 or 8 seconds. Google plans to cut prices on Veo 3.1 Fast from April 7.
