FactSet and Google Cloud plan auditable finance agents

Google Cloud announced on June 30, 2026 that FactSet and Google Cloud plan to combine FactSet data, analytics and workflows with Google Cloud agentic AI. The announcement points to workflow-specific finance agents, Gemini in FactSet Workstation, Gemini Enterprise integrations, and outputs designed to be sourced, auditable and defensible for regulated teams.
Finance teams cannot treat AI output as useful just because it sounds confident. Investment research, deal advisory and corporate finance work all depend on known data sources, clear assumptions, review steps and a defensible record of why a decision moved forward. For AI Authority readers outside finance, the lesson still travels well. The more important the workflow, the less you can rely on a blank chat box. You need to define what sources the AI may use, what evidence it must show, who reviews the output, and where the decision trail is kept.
Analysis
Choose one high-trust workflow in your team and write an audit promise for it: approved sources, required citations, reviewer, escalation rule and the place where final decisions are logged.
