Fabric ends Copilot data agent integration on 26 August

Microsoft’s Fabric updates say the data-agent integration in Copilot in Power BI retires on 26 August 2026. Report builders using that route need to move affected data-agent work to a supported experience before the retirement date.
A report can appear to have an AI answer layer without the team having documented which Fabric data agent, model context and user workflow make it dependable. When the integration disappears, that hidden dependency becomes a visible support problem for the person who owns the report. This is a short watch-window, not a reason to rebuild every Power BI report. It matters for teams that have actually wired a Fabric data agent into Copilot in Power BI and now need a clear owner for the replacement decision.
Analysis
Before 26 August, list every report or user process that relies on a Fabric data agent in Copilot in Power BI. For each one, record the supported destination and a named person to test it.
