Dataverse MCP describe failures may need a component reinstall

Power Platform practitioner Linn Zaw Win reports that the Dataverse Model Context Protocol (MCP) describe operation can fail with a System. ServiceModel. Primitives file-load error even while other Dataverse MCP calls still work. The article attributes the fault to a Microsoft-side dependency mismatch and reports that reinstalling the PowerAIExtensions component, republishing the Copilot Studio agent, and retesting restored the operation.
A maker can easily misread this error as a broken agent, connector, or data-loss prevention policy and start rebuilding working configuration. The distinctive assembly message and the fact that other Dataverse operations continue working give support teams a narrower place to investigate. This is a practitioner-reported fix rather than a public Microsoft incident notice, so it should be applied only to the matching error. For affected environments, reinstalling the corrected component is a more focused test than redesigning the agent.
Analysis
If describe fails with the same System. ServiceModel. Primitives mismatch, ask your Power Platform admin to reinstall PowerAIExtensions, republish the agent, and retest the original prompt. If it still fails, capture the correlation IDs and raise a Microsoft support case.
