Copilot Vision can analyse shared screens and cameras
Microsoft says Vision in Microsoft 365 Copilot will analyse visual inputs from shared desktop screens and mobile camera feeds. The roadmap item was last updated on May 26, 2026 and lists general availability for June 2026.
Copilot has mostly been grounded in text, files, chats, and structured work data. Screen and camera analysis moves it closer to the messy context people actually use when asking for help. That could make Copilot more useful for support, walkthroughs, validation, and interpretation. It also means teams need clearer norms for what should and should not be shown when asking Copilot to analyse a live screen or physical workspace.
Analysis
Create a simple usage rule for screen and camera analysis before rollout. Start with examples: approved support scenarios, sensitive screens to avoid, and when users should stop sharing before asking Copilot a question.
