Cloudflare launches 100x faster sandbox for AI-generated code

Cloudflare has put its Dynamic Worker Loader API into open beta for all paid Workers users. The tool lets one Worker spin up another Worker at runtime, each in its own secure sandbox, perfect for executing code generated by AI. These sandboxes rely on V8 isolates that launch in milliseconds using just megabytes of memory. That delivers 100x faster startups and 10x to 100x better memory efficiency than containers, which need hundreds of milliseconds and hundreds of megabytes. Paid Workers plans are required, and outbound internet access stays blocked by default.
Containers have slowed AI agents that write and run code due to boot times and memory demands. Dynamic Workers enable every end user to run personal agents that generate and execute code, supporting consumer-scale AI without those limits. The raw speed gains cut latency for frequent code runs, while tiny memory footprints keep costs down for volume workloads like custom automations.
