ChatGPT Work adds shared tasks triggered by work events

OpenAI has added shared scheduled tasks and webhook-triggered tasks for eligible ChatGPT Enterprise, Edu and Healthcare workspaces. Approved Gmail, Slack and GitHub events can start a task, but the event-triggered setting is off by default and users still need the approved connected app.
A useful AI workflow often starts when something changes, not when someone remembers to open a blank chat. Shared tasks let a team turn a recurring briefing, feedback summary or follow-up routine into an agreed starting point instead of each person rebuilding the prompt. The trigger does not remove the need for ownership. It introduces a new check: which event starts the work, which connected app supplies the context, and who reviews the output before it affects a customer, decision or team commitment.
Analysis
Pick one low-risk recurring update, such as a Slack-channel feedback summary, and write its input, reviewer and destination first. Then ask your workspace admin whether event-triggered scheduled tasks and the required connected app are enabled.
