Anthropic opens a store for Claude add-ons and partner tools

On 23 September 2026 Anthropic launched Claude Marketplace as one place to find plugins, connectors, agents, products, and service partners. It already lists more than 2,000 connectors and plugins, including Atlassian, Google, Microsoft, Notion, and Salesforce. Customers with committed Anthropic spend can put part of that budget toward Claude-powered software from firms such as CrowdStrike, Cursor, Harvey, Legora, Lovable, and Snowflake. Consulting names on the list include Accenture, Boston Consulting Group, and Deloitte. Builders submit connectors or plugins using Anthropic’s Model Context Protocol and Agent Skills. Listing agents, products, or consultants still needs an application or Partner Network membership, and purchase rules depend on committed spend and partner approval.
Until now, connecting Claude to the tools you already use meant hunting vendor pages, pasting the same business context into a blank chat, and hoping a one-off result would survive a second run. That kept AI as a personal slot machine: useful once, hard to hand to a colleague, and easy to get wrong on privacy and quality. The marketplace does not fix judgement. It centralises discovery so a connector can sit inside a repeatable workflow instead of another prompt. The new risk is shopping: installing five add-ons without a review step, a context library, or a rule for what company data never leaves the room.
Analysis
This is a trend to watch and a trap if you treat the catalog as a shopping list. Pick one recurring task you already do in Atlassian, Microsoft, Notion, Salesforce, or Google, check whether a listed connector can replace the paste-and-prompt loop, then write the quality check and data boundary before anyone else runs it.
