Admins can share company skills for Copilot in PowerPoint

Microsoft is rolling out organizational skills for Copilot in PowerPoint on the web, Windows, and Mac. Frontier starts at the end of August 2026 and is expected to finish in early September 2026. Tenant admins can create and manage reusable, organization-specific skills in the Microsoft 365 admin center. Those skills give users shared guidance when they work with Copilot in supported PowerPoint experiences. No action is required before rollout. Creation, review, approval, publishing, and upkeep remain optional internal processes. The feature sits alongside any user-level custom skills already in product guidance.
Until now, PowerPoint Copilot guidance lived mostly with each person. One colleague pasted brand rules into a prompt. Another did not. Decks came back with different structure, tone, and terminology, and someone still had to normalise them before a client or leadership review. Org skills change the control point. Shared standards can sit in admin-managed skills so Copilot starts from the same company brief instead of a blank personal prompt. That only helps if the skills encode real rules people already argue about in reviews. Empty or vague skills will not fix weak drafts.

Treat this as a playbook opportunity, not a feature to click on day one. Write one short skill brief covering deck structure, tone, terminology, and what Copilot must not invent, then hand it to whoever owns the Microsoft 365 admin center so it can be reviewed and published when the tenant gets the rollout.
