Turn SharePoint Requests into the Right List or Library

Site owners often ask for a document library because SharePoint feels like file storage. Sometimes that is exactly right. Other times the team really needs to track requests, tasks, assets, approvals, statuses, review dates, or owners. This course slows down that first build moment. You will take one real or realistic SharePoint request, turn it into a workflow description, choose Microsoft List, document library, or hybrid, sketch the first useful view, and write a plain owner-facing recommendation. The proof boundary is intentionally small: you are not designing a whole information architecture or migration plan. You are producing a decision record that helps a small Microsoft 365 admin team avoid building the wrong object first.
