When SharePoint search returns old files, duplicate policies, migrated folders, or several versions that all look current, it is tempting to blame search immediately. Sometimes the search experience is simply reflecting the source content it can see. This course gives you a bounded cleanup workflow for one SharePoint library, site, page set, or intranet area. You will set up a source-of-truth cleanup register, capture one bad search result as a baseline, list candidate stale or duplicate content, ask owners for authoritative-source decisions, and close with statuses, cleanup actions, caveats, and carryover. The boundary is important: this course does not tune enterprise search, approve deletion of records, or guarantee Microsoft Search or Copilot answer quality. It helps you turn one search/content complaint into owner-led cleanup decisions that can be actioned safely.
