Who it’s for

Non-developer Power Apps makers who already have a canvas app gallery connected to SharePoint or Microsoft Lists and need users to find the right list item without pretending the gallery is enterprise search.

What you’ll need

An existing canvas Power App with a gallery connected to SharePoint or Microsoft Lists.
Permission to edit the app in Power Apps Studio.
Permission to inspect the SharePoint or Microsoft List columns, or access to a list owner who can confirm column types.
At least 20 representative records, plus one known record that can challenge local row-limit behaviour where feasible.
A safe test window or copy of the app if the gallery is already used by colleagues.
