Microsoft launches an automated tool to move SQL databases into Fabric
Microsoft released a preview Migration Assistant for Fabric that moves SQL Server and Azure SQL databases into Fabric's platform. It assesses compatibility, suggests Copilot fixes for issues, and transfers data via Copy Jobs. Post-migration, data is instantly available for Power BI reports without gateways or Excel exports. Over 50,000 SQL databases already created in Fabric.
