Microsoft adds compute caps to Fabric SQL databases

Microsoft introduces preview compute caps for Fabric SQL databases in shared capacities. Users set max 4 or 32 vCores; auto-scales to cap then queues work. Prevents one database from hogging resources, cuts costs for dev/test workloads, ensures even distribution during peaks.
