Blueprint · Microsoft 365 Report Builders
A Microsoft 365 intake system stores each dashboard request as a structured row. Builders triage, clarify, brief, and track status before any dashboard work begins.
Build a small internal intake system that makes a structured brief the default path for dashboard, report, export, or hybrid requests.
The product is intentionally not a custom app. It uses Microsoft Forms, Microsoft Lists/SharePoint, Power Automate, and optionally Teams because the target builder is a Microsoft 365 power user, not a developer.
The product exists because vague requests create avoidable rework. Stakeholders ask for "a dashboard" without saying what decision it supports, who will use it, what questions it must answer, what detail rows are needed, whether Excel is expected, what deadline matters, or which sources are trusted. The builder starts with a visual request and discovers the workflow only after users export the finished report.
V1 proves a narrow thing: every new request can arrive as a structured, status-tracked row. It does not prove the resulting dashboard will be adopted. It also does not replace user conversations; it makes those conversations easier to run because the first brief fields are already captured.
Everything above plus the build steps, prompts, and export live in Microsoft 365 Report Builders. Own the Space for US$139 one-off — or a plan covers it and more.
