AI changes work. Know what to do.

Five courses. One path. Numbers you can defend.

Build the Power BI report people stop double-checking.

Publish your first interactive report, model multi-source data with scheduled refresh and row-level security, then finish with a data model and DAX you can actually explain.

Does this sound familiar?

The work breaks in predictable places.

Monday morning. Export the data, paste it into the spreadsheet, fix the columns that broke, rebuild the chart, email it out. Again. Or maybe you got further: there is a dashboard. But two numbers disagree with the finance report, nobody can say why, and the one DAX formula holding it together came off a forum and you dare not touch it. That is the real Power BI problem. Not making charts. Making numbers you can defend when someone senior asks where they came from.

Problem 01

Monday is an export-and-rebuild ritual

The data lives in three places, the spreadsheet breaks when a column moves, and the same report gets rebuilt by hand every week because nothing refreshes itself.

Problem 02

There is a dashboard, and nobody quite trusts it

Two totals disagree with the finance numbers and nobody can explain why. So people keep their own spreadsheets on the side, and your report gets double-checked instead of used.

Problem 03

The DAX works, and you could not say why

The formula came from a forum. It returns a number. Whether it is the right number under a different filter is a question you avoid, which means every new request starts with dread.

What done looks like

Finish with work you can use.

Start here

Your first course ends with a real result: an interactive report built from sample data and published to the Power BI service, with slicers filtering every visual. Fifty-three minutes of lessons, built along in your own Desktop.

How you’ll know you’re finished

Finish with a published interactive report, a multi-source model with working relationships, scheduled refresh and tested row-level security, reusable Power Query skills, a date-table driven model, and DAX measures you can predict and explain. Numbers you can defend, from source to screen.

  • Build and publish a complete interactive Power BI report from sample data, including slicers, theming and a mobile layout.
  • Model multi-source data with correct relationships, Power Query transformations, scheduled refresh and tested row-level security.
  • Write DAX measures with real understanding of filter context, percentages and date intelligence, tested against numbers you can verify by hand.

How you get there

The Build-Model-Measure Path

First you build: a complete interactive report, published to the Power BI service in your first course. Then you model: multi-source data, relationships, Power Query, scheduled refresh, row-level security, and the date-table foundations that make totals reconcile. Then you measure: DAX written with understanding, so you can predict what a calculation returns before you run it. Chart-making is the easy third; the middle is what makes numbers you can defend.

Suggested pace: Work through in order over 4-6 weeks.

Before you decide

Straight answers to the buying questions.

What happens after the 90-day Learning Pass?

Your progress, private notes and saved work remain on your account. Full access to protected content in Microsoft 365 Report Builders lasts for the period you choose; afterwards, protected steps require an active plan, permanent Space ownership or Team access.

When does the Learning Pass start?

Your 90-day Learning Pass starts when payment is confirmed, not when you first open a lesson or Board item.

What if I already have this Board or its Spaces?

The page checks your account and Team access before checkout. It keeps your existing Board and progress, avoids duplicate charges, and shows the right ongoing option if the one-off offer no longer applies.

Why not just ask AI?

AI can answer individual questions. This Board adds the chosen sequence, named outputs, progress tracking and related Space material for the context and edge cases you would otherwise have to assemble yourself.

How much work should I expect?

The current estimate is 5 hours 22 minutes, completed at your own pace over Work through in order over 4-6 weeks.. The complete learning path is visible on this page before you start.

Will Collab365 do the work for me?

No. The Board gives you a practical learning path and supporting material, but you still make the decisions and do the work. It is a product, not a done-for-you consulting service.

Do I need Power BI experience?

No. JumpStart starts from installing Power BI Desktop and builds your first report from sample data. The path then rises through professional setup, data skills, modelling and DAX in order, finishing at a confident intermediate level.

What do I need to install or license?

Power BI Desktop is free to install on Windows and covers most of the path. Publishing to the Power BI service and features like scheduled refresh, app publishing and row-level security need a Microsoft account and depend on your organisation's licensing, and the courses tell you when that applies.

How much time should I allow?

The five courses total 322 minutes of lessons across 67 lessons, about five and a half hours. Allow extra time to build alongside every lesson and test your results; most people spread it over four to six weeks.

Do I need my own data?

No. The courses supply sample data, including the Olympics dataset the first report is built from. Everything transfers directly to your own sources once you have the patterns.

I live in Excel. Is this for me?

Yes, this path is built for exactly that move. You keep the analytical thinking and lose the weekly rebuild: connected sources, one model, scheduled refresh and visuals that update themselves, with Power Query doing the cleanup you currently do by hand.

How can I access the Board?

The page checks the access already on your account and shows the available route, such as existing access, a qualifying individual or Team plan, or a one-off Board option where configured.
