AI changes work. Know what to do.

Three builds. One path. Flows your team can trust.

Go from tutorial flows to three tested automations your team can rely on.

An email-to-Excel approval, a Forms-to-SharePoint request process with custom outcomes, and an AI-assisted travel request that keeps the final decision human. Built, tested, and explained, in your own environment.

Does this sound familiar?

The work breaks in predictable places.

You can follow a tutorial and get a flow working once. Then the real process arrives: the request has to survive Forms, SharePoint, an approval and a Teams update without losing its data, and now there is an AI step everyone wants but nobody quite trusts. That is where most makers stall, rebuild by hand, and quietly hope nothing fails while they are not watching.

Problem 01

Every new flow still starts from a blank canvas

You have built flows before, but triggers, expressions and data movement were learned as separate tricks, so nothing carries over to the next build.

Problem 02

One request, four apps, and the data goes missing

Forms, SharePoint, approval outcomes and Teams each hold a piece of the process, and somewhere between them the status stops matching reality.

Problem 03

You want the AI step, but you would not bet a decision on it

Until the output is structured, checked and kept behind human approval, AI in a live process feels like a risk with your name on it.

What done looks like

Finish with work you can use.

Start here

Your first build ends with a test email arriving, the value extracted, the approval completing, and the approved result landing in Excel while you watch the run history stay green.

How you’ll know you’re finished

Complete three tested flows: an email-to-Excel approval, a Forms-to-SharePoint request process with custom approval outcomes and Teams status messages, and an AI-assisted travel request flow with parsed output, human approval and useful run history.

  • An email-triggered flow that extracts a value, requests approval and records approved data in Excel.
  • A Forms-to-SharePoint request process with custom approval outcomes, Switch branches and Teams status messages.
  • An AI-assisted travel request flow that parses JSON, keeps the decision behind human approval and leaves a diagnosable run history.

How you get there

The Build-Test-Explain Path

Three connected builds in rising order: a practical email approval, a complete cross-app request process, then a controlled AI step. Every stage ends with a saved flow, an observable completion test, and you able to explain the route, because a flow you can explain is a flow you can trust.

Suggested pace: 3 to 6 weeks

  1. 1
    Course

    Build an email-to-Excel approval flow

Combine email processing, text extraction, approval and Excel storage into one complete beginner flow instead of stopping at isolated actions.

    You will finish
An email-triggered flow that extracts a value, requests approval and records approved data in Excel.

  2. 2
    Course

Build a request process with custom approval outcomes

Connect Forms, SharePoint, custom approval responses, Switch branches and Teams so one request retains its data and status from start to finish.

    You will finish
A Forms-to-SharePoint request process with custom approval outcomes, Switch branches and Teams status messages.

    Inside Power Automate Builders

  3. 3
    Course

Build an AI-assisted travel request flow with human approval

Use OpenAI, Parse JSON, approval and run history together so AI supports the request without making the final decision or hiding failure evidence.

    You will finish
An AI-assisted travel request flow that parses JSON, keeps the decision behind human approval and leaves a diagnosable run history.

Access period

90-day Learning Pass. Afterwards, your progress, private notes and saved work remain; protected steps require Space access.

Check the fit: This is guided self-paced training, not done-for-you development or tenant configuration. You build in your own environment. Connector access, licensing, administrator policy and any OpenAI API usage are your responsibility.

Before you start

Before you decide

Straight answers to the buying questions.

What happens after the 90-day Learning Pass?

Your progress, private notes and saved work remain on your account. Full access to protected content in Power Automate Builders lasts for the period you choose; afterwards, protected steps require an active plan, permanent Space ownership or Team access.

When does the Learning Pass start?

Your 90-day Learning Pass starts when payment is confirmed, not when you first open a lesson or Board item.

What if I already have this Board or its Spaces?

The page checks your account and Team access before checkout. It keeps your existing Board and progress, avoids duplicate charges, and shows the right ongoing option if the one-off offer no longer applies.

Why not just ask AI?

AI can answer individual questions. This Board adds the chosen sequence, named outputs, progress tracking and related Space material for the context and edge cases you would otherwise have to assemble yourself.

How much work should I expect?

The current estimate is 5 hours 2 minutes, completed at your own pace over 3 to 6 weeks. The complete learning path is visible on this page before you start.

Will Collab365 do the work for me?

No. The Board gives you a practical learning path and supporting material, but you still make the decisions and do the work. It is a product, not a done-for-you consulting service.

What will I actually build?

You will build an email-to-Excel approval flow, a Forms-to-SharePoint request process with custom approval branches and Teams status messages, and an AI-assisted travel request flow with parsed JSON, human approval and run-history checks.

Do I need Power Automate experience?

JumpStart begins with practical beginner patterns. StepUp and PathFinder then add cross-app data, custom approval outcomes and AI. Work through the three courses in order and expect to build alongside the lessons.

What Microsoft access do I need?

You need a work or school Microsoft 365 account with Power Automate, Forms, SharePoint, Excel and Teams available for the exercises. You also need permission to create flows and use the required connectors. Tenant licensing and administrator policies still apply.

What extra setup does the AI build require?

PathFinder uses the Preview OpenAI Independent Publisher connector. Microsoft classifies it as Premium. You need tenant permission, regional availability and your own OpenAI API key. The connection is not shareable, and OpenAI API usage may carry separate charges.

How much time should I allow?

The published lesson runtime totals 302 minutes, or 5 hours 2 minutes: 69 minutes for JumpStart, 135 minutes for StepUp and 98 minutes for PathFinder. Allow additional time to pause, build and test in your own environment.

How can I access the Board?

The page checks the access already on your account and shows the available route, such as existing access, a qualifying individual or Team plan, or the configured one-off Board option.
