Every new flow still starts from a blank canvas
You have built flows before, but triggers, expressions and data movement were learned as separate tricks, so nothing carries over to the next build.
Three builds. One path. Flows your team can trust.
An email-to-Excel approval, a Forms-to-SharePoint request process with custom outcomes, and an AI-assisted travel request that keeps the final decision human. Built, tested, and explained, in your own environment.

You can follow a tutorial and get a flow working once. Then the real process arrives: the request has to survive Forms, SharePoint, an approval and a Teams update without losing its data, and now there is an AI step everyone wants but nobody quite trusts. That is where most makers stall, rebuild by hand, and quietly hope nothing fails while they are not watching.
You have built flows before, but triggers, expressions and data movement were learned as separate tricks, so nothing carries over to the next build.
Forms, SharePoint, approval outcomes and Teams each hold a piece of the process, and somewhere between them the status stops matching reality.
Until the output is structured, checked and kept behind human approval, AI in a live process feels like a risk with your name on it.
What done looks like
Start here
Your first build ends with a test email arriving, the value extracted, the approval completing, and the approved result landing in Excel while you watch the run history stay green.
How you’ll know you’re finished
Complete three tested flows: an email-to-Excel approval, a Forms-to-SharePoint request process with custom approval outcomes and Teams status messages, and an AI-assisted travel request flow with parsed output, human approval and useful run history.
How you get there
Three connected builds in rising order: a practical email approval, a complete cross-app request process, then a controlled AI step. Every stage ends with a saved flow, an observable completion test, and you able to explain the route, because a flow you can explain is a flow you can trust.
Suggested pace: 3 to 6 weeks
Combine email processing, text extraction, approval and Excel storage into one complete beginner flow instead of stopping at isolated actions.
Inside Power Automate Builders
Connect Forms, SharePoint, custom approval responses, Switch branches and Teams so one request retains its data and status from start to finish.
Inside Power Automate Builders
Use OpenAI, Parse JSON, approval and run history together so AI supports the request without making the final decision or hiding failure evidence.
Inside Power Automate Builders

Before you decide
Your progress, private notes and saved work remain on your account. Full access to protected content in Power Automate Builders lasts for the period you choose; afterwards, protected steps require an active plan, permanent Space ownership or Team access.
Your 90-day Learning Pass starts when payment is confirmed, not when you first open a lesson or Board item.
The page checks your account and Team access before checkout. It keeps your existing Board and progress, avoids duplicate charges, and shows the right ongoing option if the one-off offer no longer applies.
AI can answer individual questions. This Board adds the chosen sequence, named outputs, progress tracking and related Space material for the context and edge cases you would otherwise have to assemble yourself.
The current estimate is 5 hours 2 minutes, completed at your own pace over 3 to 6 weeks. The complete learning path is visible on this page before you start.
No. The Board gives you a practical learning path and supporting material, but you still make the decisions and do the work. It is a product, not a done-for-you consulting service.
You will build an email-to-Excel approval flow, a Forms-to-SharePoint request process with custom approval branches and Teams status messages, and an AI-assisted travel request flow with parsed JSON, human approval and run-history checks.
JumpStart begins with practical beginner patterns. StepUp and PathFinder then add cross-app data, custom approval outcomes and AI. Work through the three courses in order and expect to build alongside the lessons.
You need a work or school Microsoft 365 account with Power Automate, Forms, SharePoint, Excel and Teams available for the exercises. You also need permission to create flows and use the required connectors. Tenant licensing and administrator policies still apply.
PathFinder uses the Preview OpenAI Independent Publisher connector. Microsoft classifies it as Premium. You need tenant permission, regional availability and your own OpenAI API key. The connection is not shareable, and OpenAI API usage may carry separate charges.
The published lesson runtime totals 302 minutes, or 5 hours 2 minutes: 69 minutes for JumpStart, 135 minutes for StepUp and 98 minutes for PathFinder. Allow additional time to pause, build and test in your own environment.
The page checks the access already on your account and shows the available route, such as existing access, a qualifying individual or Team plan, or the configured one-off Board option.
Your next useful action

The one-off option includes a 90-day Learning Pass for required Spaces. Afterwards, your progress, private notes and saved work remain; protected steps require continuing Space access.
